Bird Control Header

PidgeonAlthough birds are beautiful creatures and admired by bird fanciers and members of the the public alike, there are some instances where the control of birds is necessary.

If, for example, they gain access to a food producing factory, their droppings may contaminate the goods being produced. Similarly, if birds choose to roost under a dispatch canopy, then products below it are at risk. Often, birds such as pigeons and starlings like to perch and roost on shop signs and window ledges, the resulting noise, odour and of course, droppings can be a significant public nuisance.

In rural and agricultrural situations, numbers of birds can damage crops. When they get inside barns, silos and stores, their fouling can contaminate grains or foodstuffs.

Prevention

As some species of birds do need controlling, Rodent Service can offer a range of methods to provide adequate protection against birds entering or perching on your building. The systems are fully legal and comply with guidelines laid down by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs. (DEFRA).

Our highly trained technicians can supply and fit a wide range of bird control products, that include pin, wire, point and netting systems. Service and maintenance contracts for these systems are available and can be tailored to suit individual requirements. Where such systems are not suitable, or the situation demands it, as a last resort we can also humanely cull populations or individual specimens as necessary.

We can also supply and fit plastic strip curtain doors, fly screen doors and windows to prevent birds gaining access to the insides of the building.

FREE Consultations: Our fully trained technicians are happy to visit and advise on the most effective and efficient measures to solve your pest control problems.
